What does clean-up look like at the end of the night?
We ask for trash in the trash cans and take your items with you. We handle all of the actual cleaning.

Can I use sparklers for my grand exit?
Yes, sparklers are allowed and we have metal buckets ready for the spent sparklers. If we are in drought conditions we may have to limit or change the location for the sparklers to keep everyone and the property safe. Sparklers are not allowed in the Hillside courtyard at any time.

Do you provide linens, dishes, silverware, and other decor?
We offer beautiful handmade wooden tables that do not require linens.
To help keep our venue costs affordable, we do not offer linens, dishes, and other decor. Ceiling drapery is offered for an additional cost.

Is there a smoking area?
Yes, both locations have a designated smoking area with ash trays. Any type of smoking is not permitted within the buildings. Please dispose of cigarette butts in provided ash trays.

Does Juniper allow same-sex couple weddings?

Absolutely. All dressing rooms are gender neutral, one is just more makeup focused.

Are pets allowed?
Pets are permitted with prior approval and notice to Juniper Gardens. Pets cannot be left unattended in dressing rooms or other areas of the property at any time.

How are wedding photos selected to be shared on Juniper's social media or website?
We only share photos with permission from the couple and their photographer. We will always credit the photographer and the wedding the photos were from, and are very grateful for those who have shared these moments with us.
We do not share photos with children or if the couple asks us not to.
What is the max capacity?
160 is our max capacity at both locations.

Does Juniper ever have weddings at both locations at the same time?
Yes, they book separately. Both locations have about 20 acres to themselves, their own parking lot, and are separated by dense woodland - meaning you won't see one location from the other.
They do share a portion of the driveway, and we add the couple's names to the split in the driveway to help direct guests between locations.

Are rehearsals included?
We do include an hour for rehearsals for all single day bookings for the week of the wedding. We reach out about 30 days ahead of the wedding date to schedule this time.

Does Juniper Gardens require any certain vendors?
Nope, we have an open vendor policy. We have a recommended vendors list to help start your vendor search, but you're not required to hire from that list.
We do not participate in kick-back programs or other incentives for vendors to be included in our recommended vendors list - just vendors we can truly recommend.

Is alcohol allowed on property?
Yes, we have great bartending services we can recommend!

Is there cell phone reception on property?
Verizon & ATT have been the most reliable cell phone carriers on property. This is currently a dead-zone for t-mobile.

Can I use real candles?
Yes, you are welcome to use candles with real flames. You will just need them in a votive, tray, or have some other way of capturing dripping wax to keep the wax off of the tables.

Can we come see the property after booking?
Yes, you’re welcome to join us for Afternoon Teas, open houses, and we have very limited availability for personal tours.

Do I need to bring trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper?
Nope, we got those covered! And we provide the firewood too!

What's included in my rental?
Refer to our pricing page for each location for the latest info on what is included with each location. Each location has their own set of items!

Where do I access the latest availability calendars and recommended vendors list?
We don't post our availability calendar since it's constantly changing. Feel free to reach out for our latest availability and all of our resources including the recommended vendor's list.

Does Juniper require Event Insurance?
We highly encourage all couples to get event insurance and include alcohol coverage for any event with alcohol. These policies are made by insurance companies like BriteCo, Vensura, or your existing insurance provider. Prices are typically $100-200 depending on coverage, and some can help cover the cost of event cancellation or rescheduling with all of your wedding vendors.

Where is the venue located?
Our address is 1135 Longhorn Rd. Fair Grove, MO 65648 - Google maps is often the most reliable map to use. You'll see our large national park inspired sign at the road and you won't be able to see the venue from the road - we're a bit more hidden away.

Written directions: from Springfield, head north on HWY 65. You'll pass the exit for Fair Grove, and take the next exit (right/east) for AA. AA will continue and take a 90 degree turn left/north and take the next right/east onto Longhorn Rd. You'll drive about 1.4 miles down a gravel road to get to our national park inspired sign. As you head down the driveway, it will split to either Hillside or Fieldstone. The couples name is added to the sign for each wedding. Drive time is about 20 minutes from HWY 65/Interstate 44.

Is there cell phone reception on property?
Verizon & ATT have been the most reliable cell phone carriers on property. This is currently a dead-zone for t-mobile.

Can we come see the property?
We are open by appointment only. The gates and venue doors are often shut and locked outside of weddings. We recommend joining the couple for one of our Afternoon Tea events if you're wanting to see the property ahead of the wedding.

Do I need to bring trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper?
Nope, we got those covered! And we provide the firewood too!

Can we come early to rehearsals or the wedding day?
Many times rehearsals are scheduled back-to-back and other commitments keep us from being able to accommodate early arrivals. The gates and doors may be locked prior to scheduled times.

Is there a smoking area?
Yes, both locations have a designated smoking area with ash trays. Any type of smoking is not permitted within the buildings. Please dispose of cigarette butts in provided ash trays.

Are pets allowed?
Pets are permitted with prior approval and notice to Juniper Gardens. Pets cannot be left unattended in dressing rooms or other areas of the property at any time.

Does Juniper have a kitchen onsite?
No, we do not have full kitchens onsite. We have designated prep areas with sinks. Most food is brought in prepared.

How do I get added to the Recommended Vendors list?
We have some criteria we look for before adding a vendor to our Recommended Vendors list. We look at vendors that have already worked at Juniper Gardens, vendors that are collaborative and kind to the couples, guests, and other vendors, have proof of insurance, and maintain an online presence through their website and/or social media.
Juniper Gardens does not participate in kickback or incentive programs and understands that couples look to Juniper Gardens as well when recommended vendors under-preform.
However, we have Open Vendor policies and couples are still welcome to hire other vendors.

Will Juniper Gardens share my photos?
We love getting access to photo from photographers! We always share with credit to the photographer and will not alter the images.

For DJs, our Fieldstone (outdoor) location does not allow outside speakers. How/why?
We moved to the in-house speaker system out of necessity to still give the environment couples and DJs wanted but trap the sound around the venue - since we don’t have walls. We worked with professional audio engineers to get a high quality system and rest assured that the speakers can still be very loud!

DJs connect with XLRs in a corner of the pavilion that keeps the DJ and their equipment in the shade while also being able to see the ceremony and reception from one spot.
Feel free to reach out with specific questions or to preview the set up prior to the wedding.

Do I need to have insurance to work on Juniper proprty?
Yes, if you are hired by the couple or their representatives you need to have at least 1 million in General Liability coverage. Policies are often cheaper than expected and are important to protect you as a vendor but also the couples.

How do I get dimensions, table layouts and other resources from Juniper?

Feel free to reach out at any time to events@junipergardens417.com and we can provide our resources to you.

Can I come tour Juniper Gardens prior to a wedding day?
We have limited private tour times, the best time is usually to come to our monthly Afternoon Tea/Open days. Otherwise, we are by appointment only.

Does Juniper have a kitchen onsite?
No, we do not have full kitchens onsite. We have designated prep areas with sinks. Most food is brought in prepared.

Can we do a styled shoot at Juniper Gardens?
We occasionally take on new styled shoots. We are often looking for more unique concepts and creative angles. Styled shoots utilizing minorities or same-sex couples are prioritized.
We recommend having a good idea of how the photos will be used and the story you're trying to tell before working on your pitch. You can submit your pitch to events@junipergardens417.com

Frequently Asked Questions By,

What's a Day-Of Assistant?

Juniper Gardens includes a venue attendant on the wedding day for all of it's wedding bookings.

The included attendant will handle stocking bathrooms,  taking out trash, cleaning the tables each morning, and similar venue tasks. They do not have the capacity to set up and decorate a wedding.

We started offering the Day-Of Assistant as an option in addition to our included attendant after requests from our couples. Many couples wanted to self plan their wedding but wanted to hand ofd some tasks on the wedding day to someone else.

The Day-Of Assistant has:
  • Set up decor
  • Guide the processional
  • Tracks provided timelines
  • Sets up tea/lemonade stations
  • Queues music from existing playlist
  • Gathers family members for group photos
  • And more...

If you are wanting someone that creates timelines, works with your vendors ahead of the wedding day, and leads the rehearsal - a wedding planner or coordinator may be a better fit.

Day-of Assistants are in addition to our included attendant.
